In the formation window there is the goddess grace tab, but when I try to put the goddess into the little square box next to the hero in formation i get cannot be done. There is a little red circle telling me to go there because something is undone. Anyone have any ideas as to why I cannot equip the goddess to the hero.

Your goddess is already in the ranks. To place a goddess in the mercenary’s defense, you need a second goddess.
