I like how the article focuses on planning rather than simply placing blocks randomly. The point about keeping the board balanced is especially useful because one poor move can limit your options later. When I get stuck on a difficult layout, I sometimes use a Block Blast Solver to look at possible placements from a different perspective. I still prefer figuring things out myself, but having an extra reference can be useful for understanding better moves. Overall, the combination of relaxed gameplay and strategic thinking makes this type of game really enjoyable.
