Use Every Direction Carefully
Not every move has the same value. Some directions may support your strategy. Others may destroy it.
Before moving, look at the whole grid. Ask which direction creates space. Ask which move keeps your large tiles together.
Try not to make automatic moves.
2048 rewards patience. The best move is often the one that creates more options instead of the biggest immediate number.
